MicroCADD Solutions provides high quality BIM and CAD computer drafting instruction and services. We provide computer drawing support for all phases of a project life-cycle.
MicroCADD Solutions was incorporated in 1991 and began with a team of architects and interior designers on a project documenting approximately a third of a million square feet for the Joint Chiefs of Staff space in the Pentagon. The first project was completed on time and under budget, despite ever-changing plans. Since then, MicroCADD Solutions has been assisting firms in BIM and CAD implementation, both instructor led and online training as well as assisting in computer drafting. Many of our clients have been using our services for over 10 years.
Victoria Shipley is a registered architect and has been working with Computer Aided Design (CAD) since 1985, and more recently with Building Information Modeling (BIM). Her company was founded in 1991. She holds certifications in Construction Documents Technology by CSI, Autodesk Certified Instructor by Autodesk, and Certified Professional Revit User by Autodesk, Inc. She served the architectural community as a CAD Manager at various architectural and interior design firms in the Washington, DC area.
Ms. Shipley spent several years as an Autodesk Premier ATC Manager for a local technical college near Atlanta, Georgia, developing schedules, courses, and content, as well as training instructors on the latest software and keeping them aware of trends in the market. Tasks also included marketing and promotion of the program, developing certification programs, hiring instructors and developing and working within a school budget.
Other services rendered include consulting, demonstrating new products, customization and BIM and CAD technical support. Ms. Shipley has worked with Autodesk, Inc. to conduct product tours and software rollouts, beta testing software, developing instructional material and delivering instruction via web-based training. She has also assisted in developing on-line training classes for other clients updating to a newer release of the software.
“Not only was [Ms. Shipley] able to come into projects in various design stages and pick up the Revit drawings and produce on demand, but more importantly she helped other designers in the office upgrade their Revit skills as well. She assisted us in setting up drawing standards and templates.
Her dual experience as a Revit instructor and producing contract documents in a design firm gives her the unique perspective of not only teaching students how to use the software, but what is important for them to know to set drawings up correctly for the end deliverables. This skill sets her apart from most instructors. She knows what she is teaching as well as why she is teaching it.”
