With a crumpled bit of metal from a crashed WWII British aircraft, we were asked to make a 3D model from sketches and the damaged part. We accepted the challenge. The client’s theory was that The Mosquito piloted by Dam Busters pilot Guy Gibson went down in a fiery crash due to the fuel tank selector set incorrectly. In 3D it was easier to tell the position of the valves and prove his theory very likely correct.
